The State Ministry of Public Housing pointed out that until the end of Q1-2009, the disbursement and repayment of home loans for 56,319 units of homes valued Rp 151 billion (US$14.52 million).
Conventional home loans disbursement is recorded as having the largest subsidy valued Rp 140 billion for 55,319 units, half of the conventional home loans in 2008 valued Rp 470 billion.
According to Deputy of Fiscal Financing at the State Ministry of Public Housing, Tito Murbaintoro, the subsidised home loans disbursement until Q1-2009 covered 21,790 units. However, the sums being repaid covering 56,706 units.
Meanwhile subsidised sharia home loans disbursement covered 332 units valued Rp 2.9 billion. The number of subsidised apartments reached 229 units valued Rp 1.7 billion. Meanwhile, home loans through cooperatives covered 826 units valued Rp 6.2 billion.
